Book museum tickets in advance for end of June? Full?

Hello, my children (15 and 18) will be in Florence as of next Thu. I went on the booking site for the museums - like I read in a guide-book - but seeing what they charge for pre-booking for the Uffizi alone I started wondering whether it makes sense at all in Covid-times. How full IS the city actually? Is this still necessary like in normal times?

The city is not that full but the museums are definitely limiting the numbers allowed inside because of covid, so booking ahead for the Uffizi definitely remains the best way to go. You can book by phone - and only pay once you arrive at the museum.
