Tuscany Elopement in May - Where to stay?

Hello,

My fiance and I are eloping to the Tuscan region this May. We would like some recommendations on where to stay for our 7 days there. We are having our civil marriage in the USA, but would like to know what areas in Tuscany would be our best choice for wedding photography/videography. We don't mind if it's a farmhouse or villa - our budget is flexible. We envision our symbolic ceremony to take place outdoors overlooking the beautiful landscape. We will also be renting a small car to tour the other towns around.

There are so many properties to choose from. I've been browsing through some of Lourdes recommendation but didn't see a particular question pertaining a wedding elopement.

Just some things we might want to add: we love fine food, wine, sightseeing, photography, tennis, biking, hiking, and just relaxing.

Thank you!

Hey Will & Lisa!

So cool! Tuscany is the best place for elopements!

I personally really love the Valdirose, it is just outside of FLorence, a charming, gorgeous and intimate B&B with lots of warmth and privacy.

All the best! Nadia

Ciao Will and Lisa,

Congrats on your upcoming wedding! It would be really hard to not find great views, fine food and wine and lots of great chances for relaxing while in Tuscany ;-).

Are you looking for help in planning the symbolic ceremony for you both, in terms of photographer or videographer? I recently met Cindy Salgado, who mentioned that's she also done elopements, helping plan some very basic stuff for couples, so maybe you should contact her and see whether she can be of help. Here's my review of what she offers: http://www.discovertuscany.com/weddings-in-tuscany/cindy-salgado-tuscany-wedding-experience.html
From what I've seen of videos on her website, she has good people she's working with.

She might also suggest some really particular enchanting villas or farmhouses, if you already have something in mind. Ones that came to mind since I remember stunning views all around are these:
http://www.discovertuscany.com/siena/accommodation/san-giovanni-in-poggio.html (just 5 apartments, but at the top of a hill with nothing too close nearby)
http://www.discovertuscany.com/tuscany-farmhouses/farmhouse-near-siena.html (in the same area, the Crete Senesi, and with magnificent views as well. The apartments are a bit more rustic, the farmhouse is a bit bigger, but still, farmhouses are quite a ways from each other)
http://www.tuscanyaccommodation.com/villa-corsanello.html - great views too, but this is a villa, perfect if you want to have lots of privacy!
