vineyard & olive grove tour w/ meal

New member
We (4 adults) will be in Tuscany May 5-May10 and looking for a vineyard with olive grove that gives a tour of the total wine making and olive oil making, wine tasting and then a traditional Tuscan dinner. Any recommendations?

We are also looking for something like this from Lucca. I have contacted No Ordinary Ways for a tour option for us, it seems they have tours from other areas of Tuscany as well. They were very nice on their responses and options for us, I have emailed one other who has a notation on her website, but have yet to hear back.

Good luck

Ciao James,

I highly recommend the tours and tastings at Vignamaggio, right before you arrive in Greve if you're driving from Florence. See more details of their offerings here:
Contact them and ask about the possibility to visit anything else not included in their packages.

In Gaiole you could also visit Casa al Vento: or the Ricasoli estate:

Basically there is no need to go through an external travel agency - if you see a wine estate has a restaurant, you can combine a meal with the wine tastings/tours. If they have a restaurant, it means they are large enough and organized to welcome visitors everyday.

Ah, I was forgetting... the new winery for the Antinori. It is beautiful, modern architecture and getting a lot of press because it IS different. They are another aristocratic family in Florence that has wine estates in Tuscany for generations who finally decided to organize themselves to offer their great wines to a more general public. You can find info on the winery (which has a restaurant) here:
and also taste their great wines and food in Florence at the Antinori palazzo in Piazza Antinori (on Via Tornabuoni). (The Ricasoli's are another aristocratic family, as are the Frescobaldi's and who are another name as far as their wine production goes - here's their offerings near Florence at Nipozzano for Chianti wines: and at Castelgiocondo near Montalcino for Brunello:
