My husband and I will be spending 2 nights in Florence at the end of May. Would appreciate any suggestions on accommodation there. Looking for a centrally located hotel, reasonably priced.

For a stay in Florence you could look at Hotel Astro, which is located close to the train station Campo di Marte - not the main train line...but fairly well coordinated especially if your next stop is Rome. The beauty of this hotel is that it is pretty central, well connected with the bus system..yet it is in a more residential and tranquil area.
Or if you want to be in the mix of everything you could look at San Lorenzo, near the accademia.
