First Time to Florence

My husband and I are planning a trip to Florence in March and I was wondering what area is recommended...we are very interested in museums and historical sites...we love bars and restaurants....we do not like dance clubs...what area would be recommended

Anywhere in the historical center. It is all walk-able, being approximately 2 miles from one end to another. Strolling the streets is one of the main joys of this beautiful city.
