I will be with a group of people spending New Year's Eve and New Year's day in/around Siena. Does anyone know of public events taking place in the city on either/both days? Suggestions on nearby activities, particularly concerts?
There will most definitely be lots going on - however you are looking way too far in advance (Most places haven't even finalised there SUMMER calendars...frustrating I know)
However you can keep an eye on our calendar for various New Year's Celebrations. We try to start updating it in early December...but it is tough because most events aren't "officially" posted until much closer to the holidays.
