Pisa and Empoli train stations

My friend who is travelling alone and has some mobility issues, is travelling from Pisa Airport to Poggibonsi. She needs to change trains at Pisa Centrale and Empoli.
Can anyone advise whether there are lifts to ease transit between platforms at these stations?
 
Yes, there are lifts at the platforms at both stations, so she should be able to access them when she arrives. If for any reason she needs assistance, tell her to always ask the station staff for help. Even if she doesn't speak Italian and they don't speak English, there is always a way to make the message come across so that they can help.
 
Hi Lourdes. Thank you so much for this information (and for your reply to my enquiry about buses from Pisa to Poggibonsi, which was a fall back in case there were no elevators!)
I’ve passed this info onto my friend so she’s quite confident now. Thanks again x
