Returning to Italia!!

Hi Lourdes! or friend of Lourdes :)

I visited Florence in 2014, and Paris in 2015, now I would love to visit Rome and Orvieto. I know these are not in Tuscany, but I was hoping that you could provide a recommendation for a hotel or b&b in Rome. Your recommendations for Florence were spot-on!

Buongiorno,

The last two times I was in Rome I stayed at

Pantheon Inn - with the family. They have a family sized room and my double was newly refurnished. I like the classical touch, open beam ceilings, small hotel feel and the great position in the center. I would definitely stay here again.

I have also recently stayed at Hotel Villa San Lorenzo Maria, I choose it because of the good reviews and its proximity to the train station. The room was very nice, clean and spacious and the staff was very helpful. I would stay here again. Though I have to say I only spend one night so I can't give any opinion as to the ease of visiting the city center.

PS Florence is an easy day trip via train ! :-P
