Staying in Capalbio while visiting Niki de Saint Phalle's Tarot Garden

Hello there
and thank you for such a great forum.

I am visiting Capalbio after two days in Florence. I plan to stay for 7 days in Capalbio. I have checked with the gardens that it is open on one of the days I will be there in early November. Thank goodness as I am aware it closes to the public on October 15.

I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts about where to stay while in Capalbio - there is a relatively inexpensive hotel called I Briganti di Capalbio. Has anyone stayed here? I wish to base myself in one place for the week because I am researching the area in relation to Niki De Saint Phalle and will be writing a lot of the time - Among seeing things of course.

I am not up to date on too many places to stay in that area - however you are coming in low season so you should find some good prices. Be sure to reserve before you arrive because in low season many places close down.
