I am planning to visit the Academy , Pitti Palace , and Palazzo Vecchio on a Sunday ( free entry). Can it be done or is it an over the top adventure? Suggestions, please.
very over the top! Besides going on an overload of artwork - Palazzo Pitti alone could take up a whole day!
Another thing to take into consideration is that on Free Sunday - the lines are long, so time wise you may find it difficult to fit everything into one day.
The Accademia of course has David, which everyone loves to see - but my personal favorite is Palazzo Vecchio (from bottom to top...Roman base and the panoramic Tower) - then the diversity in Palazzo Pitti and lastly David.
