Suggestions for Accommodation please

Hi. My husband and I are planning a trip to see a lot of Italy in October this year .
I want to cover as much of the Tuscan region in about 5 days
I was wondering if I should make Florence my base to cover Pisa, Cinque Terre, Siena and the Chianti region or maybe do an agriturismo experience
So while in Florence we were wondering where to stay to be able to do a bit of the city as well as a bit of the mountain/wine region?
Or would you suggest we split it and spend maybe 2 days in florence and then do an agriturismo around Siena?
Very confused about where to stay and in what areas
Your expert advice with 3-4 star hotel recommendations and agriturismos would be of greatest help

Where to Stay

Buongiorno -

if you are up to moving around a bit then I suggest that you plan half your stay in the city center of Florence so you can 1) save on not renting a car to get you around and 2) enjoy the full experience of Florence - just walking along the Arno River at night is beautiful. I would also suggest combining your trip to Cinque Terre when you are in Florence, it is easy to take the train and visit this beautiful place and it is less stress than trying to drive.

Then you can stay in the countryside, closer to Siena for a few days, and this way you get the best of both worlds (so to speak). Not only is this area very different from Florence and the surroundings but it offers an excellent point for day trips to Val d'Orica. That was very helpful and the accommodation options you suggested look great as well
Just another query - If we dont drive, is it still advisable to stay in the country side?
Would it be a bother to get to the farm house and back if we did not have a vehicle or are these places generally well connected by public transport?

Also while we do pisa and cinque terre as day trips from florence, what else can we explore if we live
at the san-giovanni agriturismo? we are quite interested in exploring the chianti wine region - so should we find accommodation there or is it accessible even from the siena area like a day trip?
