Parking in Florence

On the way from the Garda to Siena, we would visit Florence that day. In order not to waste time, we decided to park in a private garage in the center (ZTL zone), probably Park2Go. We realized that they put us on a white list when booking and provided information about the vehicle to the police.
I'm wondering what is the best route to get to the garage, so that we don't accidentally run into a part where we may not be allowed to drive or something?
Thank you!

Ciao! You will have to go into the ZTL zone to get to the garage, that is why all private garages put your license plate on the white list so you are not fined for entering the ZTL to get to them. That means you should just map your way to the garage and you should be good to go - the GPS should not send you into pedestrian-only areas. The only area off limits within the ZTL area is immediately around the Duomo/Piazza Duomo, streets around Ponte Vecchio and Palazzo Pitti. Park2Go is near the Duomo but to get there it's relatively easy so you should be fine. Just know there are a lot of one-way streets so definitely map the way in and way out ahead of time as you don't want to miss turns and go around in circles. That in itself, when you are close to the entrance into the ZTL, could be risky having you go in and out of the ZTL without realizing it. Every single time you go under an entrance camera is considered an entrance, despite it being only 5 minutes apart.

Thank you Lourdes!
I was afraid we would get into somewhere in the pedestrian zone or those restricted emergency zones or something like that.
Google maps gives me two options (images) and in both examples it says the following:
Turn right onto Via dell'Agnolo
Entering toll zone in 260 m at Via Santa Verdiana
Parts of this road may be closed at certain times or days

Yes via dell’agnolo is what you want. It’s interesting it’s making you go back in a circle and not via Sant’Egidio, maybe there is construction currently blocking the street. When are you coming? The route might be different by the time you come so make sure to map it again when you’re here.

It’s great to see Google is finally telling people in somewhat fuzzy terms that there is a ZTL and that the street might be “off limits” at certain times of the day. It’s something even if not complete info.

We arrive in 15 days.
So we're going on one of these routes?

ciao!
I went this morning to check what’s going on via Sant’Egidio and the reply is nothing!
A few months ago there was work being done on a palazzo at the start of the street which limited types of cars going by but that is gone. Google is not updated yet. I saw a bus go through and went all the way to the parking lot and nothing blocks you. There are even signs along the way for the Park2Go garage.
So I’ve taken the route Google made and updated it. Skip that whole detour part once you’re in the ZTL and just take via Sant’Egidio straight where I’ve marked in red and once at the garage make sure they put the license plate on the white list and you’re set to go.

Thank you so much for wanting to help!
Something is wrong with Google maps, it gives me different routes every time, and what you marked in red for me can't, it doesn't give me to turn left at Piazza Gaetano Salvemini to get to Via Sant' Egidio.
I hope it will be updated by the time we arrive :))

Yes this route also works!! If you’re coming off the A1 it means you arrive from that side of the center so it makes more sense to turn into at Via dell’indipendenza and not to go to via del’Agnolo.
