1 Week in Tuscany

Hello,

we are a family with two small kids, and are staying in Arezzo for 2 nights (without a car) and are planning to go to Florence one or two days. Afterwards we will be in Cortona for 5 nights (with car) and are looking for daytrips in Tuscany. The five nights in Cortona are over the Easter weekend and on Sunday we were planning to stay there. Any recommendations for the other days? Farm visits for the kids? Festivals? Markets? Places we should visit?

Thank you for your help!

How old are your kids? In the area, main sights include heading to Montepulciano, Pienza, Montalcino, San Quirico d'Orcia and Buonconvento, roaming the hillside for the views. Anghiari and Sansepolcro are two small villages nearby you can consider.
I would even suggest either Bagno Vignoni or San Filippo for the kids to enjoy, especially if the weather holds and it stays warm - take a look:

Make sure to include Siena! Events around that weekend will concentrate on Easter and Passion of Christ reenactments. Do you think you might be interested in those? Otherwise Easter Sunday is dedicated to services. In Florence there is the Explosion of the Cart but I don't recommend going with little kids, crowds can be huge: https://www.visitflorence.com/florence-events/explosion-of-the-cart-easter.html
