My fiancé and I are trying to plan our honeymoon in Tuscany and plan on going in late May/early June. However, we are apprehensive about being in Italy on June 2nd during the Festival of the Republic. Will everything be closed? She we avoid visiting during this date?
Though this is an important date for Italy - they really don't go overboard on the celebration. You will find that many museums many have varied hours - however, for one day you will find lots of things to do!!
Late May and early June normally provide great weather and it is a lovely time to visit the countryside.
