Florence Gallery / Museums / Churches Tickets help and Emília-Romanga tips?

Hello everyone

I am going to visit Italy for the first time, in MAY. Also, my first time travelling by myself.

I have two questions I would like you to help me out with: The first one is: is there any combined ticket for the main museums / gallerys, in order to save some money?

Is it better to buy them online? Since I am only 2 days in Florence, I think I will not be able to see them all, but I would love to visist at least 3 museums and 4 monuments! Any help / suggestions?


And the last question:
I am flying to Bologna, so I will check it out as well. Any recomendations?
Since my room is in Modena (I have some friends there!), I will see that city too. Any close town that you like in particular?
How is the best (or cheaper hehehe) way to travel from Modena to Florence? Train?

I am only 4 days there: I want to spend 2 full days in Florence, and the other 2, to check around Modena or other places you recomend

That's a lot of museums in just two days - be sure to leave some time for just wandering around and absorbing the magic of the city.

PS - as of March 1st your ticket for the Uffizi will also get you FREE entrance into the MAF (archeological museum)

What do you want to see in Florence? Make a list and check entrance fees for each, this will help decide whether to book tickets for some directly or to wait and buy tickets here or to get the museum card -- which is called the Firenze Card, you can read more considerations about whether to get it or not here: http://www.visitflorence.com/florence-museums/is-firenze-card-worth-it.html

If you want to see the two main museums in Florence - the Uffizi and Accademia - it might just be better to book tickets for each individually. Then buy tickets on the spot for any others, it saves $ especially if at the last minute you decide to skip one because you don't want any more art or museums and you haven't bought a ticket yet ;-).
