Hello All:
I am flying into Pisa and will work my way up to Milan for my departure flight.
I would like to do 2 wineries in Bolgheri area, visit Il Teatro Del Silenzio in Lajatico, Italy and a Thermal Bath (thinking 3 nights) all before going to Modena for 2 nights and Parma for 1 night.
Can anyone offer me suggestions??
Thanks in advance

wine tasting in Bolgheri

Buongiorno,

Great area for wines! I have personally visited Azienda Agricola Michele Satta ( http://www.michelesatta.com/contatti_azienda_agricola_michele_satta.php?lang=en) - amazing environment and of course, fantastic wines. You can write them an email for more info on setting up a wine tasting.

This link here will give you a list of several to chose from in the area: http://www.bolgheridoc.com/bolgheri/it/aziende/

For more info on Bolgheri - have a read of this article: https://www.discovertuscany.com/the-etruscan-coast/bolgheri.html

Thanks for the response.
I'm feeling the stress on putting together a great trip for us and I'm wondering if I should drive
from Pisa to Sienna and just work my way up to Parma.
I know Sienna is a walking town so I'm not sure if I will feel comfortable having the car unattended with
most of our luggage. Are there any small wineries that you would recommend if we went that route?
Also, Any suggestions on hotels? Would like 4 star if possible.
Thanks again.

We have now turned the entire trip around.
Have decided to stay 2 nights in each location ...
1) Montecatini Terme
2) Florence
3) Parma

Is it worth going to Monsummano Terme for their Hot Caves or should I just
visit a spa in Montecatini? Does it matter which one I visit in Montecatini?

Are there any day tours that we can join in Parma to visit Modena?

Thanks

visiting Modena

Buongiorno,

This link offers some organized tours for Modena but many of them leave from Florence or Bologna: (https://www.partner.viator.com/en/8357/search/modena)

This is a select list of tours that leave from Parma:
https://www.partner.viator.com/en/8357/Parma/d27234-ttd

If you don’t see one you like, you can always check out the private tours and then have tailored to your specific request. Or the trip from Parma to Modena in train is only 40 minutes...and you can walk the city on your own.

Buon Viaggio,
Donna Denise
