Hello all!
We are staying in Siena for 8 days from 9th July, just inside the city walls
Firstly, we need to travel from Pisa airport to Siena, from what I can see, this is a fairly easy route on train or bus?
We're a fairly well traveled couple and don't mind exploring and jumping on public transport, as we'd prefer to avoid hiring a car on this holiday. We are on a bit of a budget, so we're trying to plan our trip as best as we can to get the most out of our time and money. Is it possible to eat out on a budget? And is it possible to visit wine regions and other towns via public transport without paying out for expensive tours?
We were thinking of hiring bikes or mopeds for a couple of days to do closer exploring - has anyone done this, and if so how did you find it?
We were also wondering if there are any public outdoor swimming pools that we can go to?
Thanks in advance!
Hayley
