We will be passing through Arezzo on 6 Sept and wanting to understand the possibility of attending the evening event. I see all tourist tickets are "sold out" [and never knew how to try to get them] but other tickets become available the week before. Any advise to try to secure a ticket (and if we need to)? ALSO we will be driving through and if we can attend would love advice on

Tickets for residents are sold out but the general tickets are not sold until about a week before the event.
I would suggest you write to the offices listed at the bottom of the ticket page and ask how to order and pick up, considering you arrive the day of.
