Hiking to top with great views and two 11 year olds?

This summer we would like to do an easy hike in Tuscany, where we drive most of the way, and then hike through nature to some top with great view, with two girls at 11. It could be 10 km in total, is that possible?

Great Views

Buongiorno,

The first place you might want to start by looking at this article about fall foliage - besides the fact that it talks about seeing fall colors, it has several ideas about places where you an go for a walk in Tuscany.

Having lived there for several years, I am partial to the area in Casentino where you will find several hikes that end with stunning views.

Thank you for your answer. I have read it through...

We would like to do hiking with view within 30 minutes drive of Firenze, is that possible?

Closer to Florence

Buongiorno,

So in that article, we talk about Mugello - and the link below will give you hiking options, just not the great heights, however, it might be more suited for the 11-year-olds.

If you want some height, then I would head towards Regello and Vallombrosa, it is just a bit more than 30 minutes, but I love the area and think it makes for a great hike and picnic.
