Late night train from Venice to Florence

I'm having trouble finding a return train after dark from Venice to Florence for Sept 15. The latest I see is a 7:25 departure and we really wanted to stay after dark. Can anyone help? Thanks so much!

Hello - I just double checked http://www.trenitalia.com and unfortunately you are correct ...

I would have thought a night train passed through but apparently not.

I even check the train line www.italotreno.it...but their last train is at 18:55.

Even checking buses there isn't one that leaves late: http://autolinee.baltour.it/Orari-Autobus/Venezia/Firenze/16-101-33/9-1.html

So it seems the option is to stay the night in Venice, leave earlier or hire a car with driver to bring you back at night... or rent a car and drive yourself, if you feel up to it!

Thanks for your help! I will look into the car options, as we are introducing our kids to Venice quickly and would like them to carry the image of St Mark's Square at night with the bands playing in their hearts til they can return on their own!

Late Night Train From Venice to Florence June 2015

I too am interested in a late night train from Venice to Florence.
I just read the thread from August 2014.
Has there been any changes for 2015?
If not, any suggestions for a reasonable alternative? The private tours are $300 and up for 1 person.

I, unfortunately, don't see any changes - same times for both Trenitalia and Italo trains.

Instead of a private tour, look into transfers as they should be for the leg of the trip, not per person!
