Lunch during a Uffizi visit

Once you have entered the Ufizzi can you leave for Lunch and return? We will probably have the Firenze card which only allows one entry.

No you can't... but a restaurant is supposed to open soon on the ground floor of the Uffizi and maybe once you're here it will be open and you can eat there. I don't have much info on it yet, including when it is supposed to open. Stay tuned, we will surely post info once we have it!

We always have a snack at the Uffizi cafe during our visit. It's a little pricey and not really memorable food, but it provides a break from viewing the art and rejuvenation to continue on. If you sit out on the terrace you can enjoy the fresh air that will also revitalize you. Our visits usually run around 4 hours, so the little break is welcome.

Yes, there is the cafe at the top floor with a terrace and wonderful view of Palazzo Vecchio and the Duomo but the restaurant will be on the ground floor and provide a whole menu and chance to sit down and rest so it will be another experience! Unfortunately, it definitely won't be open that soon, so the Cafe is definitely your only option for a snack to stay in the museum as long as you like. If you exit, you cannot go back in.
