Hi Lourdes-
I've been following the Florence page for years and have always enjoyed reading your comments and advice. Recently there have been many SPAM "responses" to various questions with blind links in them to lead visitors to other websites. I don't click on those for fear they may lead to hazardous websites. My concern is that there may be other visitors that do click on these links that are not affiliated with your website. I have reported SPAM several times. However, I still see these messages. Is this something you are aware of? Does this concern you? If not, I will discontinue reporting them.
Thanks for your efforts in providing knowledge about the beautiful Tuscan region.

We appreciate every single time you report a violation, I get a report and delete the messages marking them as spam and automatically delete any other messages posted by that user, as well as ban them from the site in the same move. The feature had made it seem that this was a report and that somehow you might be notified but it seems you get no verification of the report being "resolved and closed". Sorry about that!

The bots keep trying every day, and we get alerts as soon as they are posted but because of time differences they might still be online when you come by and check. So any reports you send our way are definitely seen and we appreciate them, but if it takes too much of your time, rest assured we do see them as well and will try to get them deleted ASAP!

Most definitely do not click on any links - I've seen the responses that seem to be authentic but they are just a copy and paste of an answer higher up in the thread, with the attempt to hide links in the quoted text using the background color and most definitely are spam, so we also don't want anyone to risk clicking on links that might have malicious intent behind them. Thank you for helping us keep them off the forum so that everyone can continue to use the the forum to ask their questions. It has been quiet of late, but maybe with the new season there will be questions soon! Thank you for also taking the time to comment and reply to the legitimate queries!!
